Meera Nandan was born as Meera Nandakumar on 26 November 1990 as the daughter of Nandakumar and Maya. She has a younger brother Arjun Nandakumar. She did her schooling in Bhavans Vidya Mandir (Elamakkara). After completing her degree in literature from St. Teresa's College Ernakulam, she is pursuing her masters at Presidency College, Bangalore.Meera's first appearance before the camera was in an advertisement for Mohanlal’s Taste Buds. In 2007, she auditioned as a competitor in Idea Star Singer aired on Asianet Television. But she was selected as an anchor for the programme. She made her film debut in Malayalam cinema the following year, playing the female lead in Lal Jose's Mulla.Meera Nandan is a very practical person and equally capable. Meera Nandan is very tidy by nature, Meera Nandan love order and are methodical. Then she was an anchor with Ranjini Haridas in the super reality show Idea Star Singer 2007 of Aseanet Channel. She had done an advertisement for a pickle company which was her first acting. Meera started her film career by getting a chance to act in the Malayalam film Mulla (her debut film) in 2008 opposite Dileep one of the super stars of Malayalam Film Industry. This film is a success in box office leading to her for more opportunities in acting career. She got more chances in Tamil films and was booked to act in Ayyanar and Suriyanagaram. She is now doing another film Kaathalukku Maranamillai by K T Kunjmon and is pinning her hope on this film for her jump in the career. Another film of her is Valmiki. In this film she is acting against Hari son of Tamil Music director Ilayaraja' brother. The music is by Ilayaraja.

Meera Nandan, the rising star of mallu movies, is the second one in our list of Kerala beauties. She came to the film field through the music show in Asianet ‘Idea Star Singer’. She was the host of the show alongside with Ranjini Haridas. Her first big screen movie in Malayalam was ‘Mulla’ in which Dileep was the hero and Meera Nandan played the heroine.

Meera Nandan is the daughter of Nandakumar and Maya. The girl attracted a lot of people with her simple malayalee looks and outfits. She is the simple girl next door. After her main role in the movie Mulla in 2008, Meera Nandan got chance in a variety of mallu movies like Currency, Puthiya Mukham, Kerala Cafe, Patham Nilayile Theevandi, Pulliman, Elsamma Enna Aankutty, Oridathoru Postman etc.

Her 2012 movies Mallu Singh and Yathra Thudarunnu are now being filmed.
