Meera Nandan was born as Meera Nandakumar on 26 November 1990 as the daughter of Nandakumar and Maya. She has a younger brother Arjun Nandakumar. She did her schooling in Bhavans Vidya Mandir (Elamakkara). After completing her degree in literature from St. Teresa's College Ernakulam, she is pursuing her masters at Presidency College, Bangalore.Meera's first appearance before the camera was in an advertisement for Mohanlal’s Taste Buds. In 2007, she auditioned as a competitor in Idea Star Singer aired on Asianet Television. But she was selected as an anchor for the programme. She made her film debut in Malayalam cinema the following year, playing the female lead in Lal Jose's Mulla.Meera Nandan is a very practical person and equally capable. Then she was an anchor with Ranjini Haridas in the super reality show Idea Star Singer 2007 of Aseanet Channel. She had done an advertisement for a pickle company which was her first acting. Meera started her film career by getting a chance to act in the Malayalam film Mulla (her debut film) in 2008 opposite Dileep one of the super stars of Malayalam Film Industry. This film is a success in box office leading to her for more opportunities in acting career. She got more chances in Tamil films and was booked to act in Ayyanar and Suriyanagaram. She is now doing another film Kaathalukku Maranamillai by K T Kunjmon and is pinning her hope on this film for her jump in the career. Another film of her is Valmiki. In this film she is acting against Hari son of Tamil Music director Ilayaraja' brother. The music is by Ilayaraja.

Life

Sridevi lost her father when she was shooting for the film Lamhe and mother, while shooting for the film Judaai. She lost her parents when she was very young. There was a rumor during the period between 1986 and 1987 that Sri Devi had an affair with the Bollywood actor Mithun Chakravorty. But, the relationship came to an end, when Mithun did not divorce his wife Yogita Bali. On June 2, 1996, Sridevi tied her wedding knots with the film producer Boney Kapoor. Film Career

Sridevi made her first public appearance as a child artist in the Tamil film Kandhan Karunai (1967). In the beginning of her career, she gave performances in numerous Tamil and Malayalam movies. Some of her best Malayalam movies are Aalinganam, Kuttavum Sikshaiyum, Aadhyapaadam, Aa Nimisham. In the year 1976, she got a major break in the Tamil movies in the lead role. In the year 1978, she made her entry in the Hindi films. Her debut Hindi film was Solva Saawan, which unfortunately did not succeed. But, her second film Himmatwala was a super duper hit. The movie made her a star overnight. Thereafter, she signed the film Sadma, which brought her lot of appreciation. During 1980s, she gave fabulous performances, which were admired by all. Her film Chandni was the biggest hit, which brought her in the list of one of the highest paid actresses of Bollywood. She worked in a number of films and has had a very prosperous career. After performing in Judaai, she took a break from the film industry, for upbringing her two daughters. After six years, she appeared on the small screen in a couple of TV serials.
